The New Zealand SKA Industry Consortium (NZSKAIC)

The New Zealand SKA Industry Consortium (NZSKAIC) is a partnership to achieve positive economic outcomes for New Zealand from involvement in the SKA project.

It consists of the following investor members:

  • NZICT - Group of 40 New Zealand ICT companies
  • IBM NZ
  • Telecom International
  • Kordia
  • Endace, and
  • Harmonica

A New Zealand SKA Industry Consortium (NZSKAIC) has been formed to achieve positive economic development outcomes from NZ's involvement in the project.   New Zealand’s industry group is co-chaired by Dougal Watt, Chief Technologist for IBM NZ and Brett O’Riley, CEO of NZICT. Work is underway to develop a framework for the consortium and its activities, and a strategy around New Zealand’s involvement in conjunction with other stakeholders.
